Mobile Solar Power Charger

Solio has developed this portable hybrid solar power charger that is changing my life completely. The charger holds its own power, too and can charge a cellphone a couple of times after it's been fully charged at 10 hours. Love it, own it.

The result? Less pesticides, cleaner water, air & milk, and more...

ASR Green Trade Expo 07

In it's 26th year, ASR is back with over 500 brands and 7,000 buyers of action sports fashion and equipment. Pretty much all of San Diego's downtown is taken over with parties, and Pink Cloud Events will be barreling down there tomorrow to check out the eco-friendly trade show that 3 Phases Energy is behind.

Brands like Volcom, Element, and Quiksilver are taking part of this green wave, by showing off their sustainable and organic product lines for Fall 07.

Pictures of the green fashion and parties to come. See you at the Satori Movement.

E! Hosts Eco-Friendly Golden Green Party

I was very excited to hear that the director of special events and promotions for E! Entertainment, Wendy Schellinger, decided to throw an eco-friendly event at the Golden Globes! Not only that, but she partnered with a unique non-profit, Environmental Media Association, whose mission is to make Hollywood go green.

However, the reviews that I read were a bit disappointing - it seems that the event production team came up a bit short in hosting guests at the expense of being green. The venue was outdoors, and there were no heat lamps to provide warmth. Perhaps there were environmental considerations that stopped the much needed lamps from coming, but I find it hard to believe that there were no other alternatives that to leave guests in the cold. Tenting, fireplaces, or even luxe, handmade blankets from a local vendor could have at least insulated natural body heat and provided a unique atmosphere for the night.

It just goes to say, helping the environment and promoting a green lifestyle at events is wonderful...but the guests must always come first! And, really, who'd want to be green if it meant frostbite in LA?

But, of course, there are many stellar points about this Green Party:
1. Exposure for eco-friendly events to the media.
2. Take a look at that wonderful press wall!! It's made out of wood salvaged from the Great Salt Lake’s historic Lucin Cutoff. Very creative.
3. Tree People planted a tree for every guest that attended.
